Throughout her career, Könitz has made sculptures in relation to the conventions and circumstances of our built environment. In recent work, she has also begun to incorporate elemental, natural phenomena. In this series, collections of coins are organized by image categories and chance, exploring themes of value, exchange, and symbolism on both personal and cultural scales.
